What is ClearMarket?

ClearMarket structures the rules and relationships around prediction markets. It assigns a Resolution Clarity Grade, retains source provenance and links questions across Polymarket and Kalshi. This is useful when the main research problem is understanding what a contract will resolve on, rather than watching every price tick.

Who it is for

  • Researchers comparing contract definitions
  • Risk teams reviewing settlement-source clarity
  • Developers building read-only market research agents

Workflows with ClearMarket

Review a settlement question

Find the market, inspect its grade and source provenance, then read the original rules to understand the remaining ambiguity.

Compare contracts across venues

Follow question-level links and compare the definitions inside their separate venue events.

Build a research agent

Connect the read-only MCP endpoint and request concise event detail for large multi-market bundles.

Pricing and total cost

The live read-only site, REST API and MCP endpoint are open without signup or a key. The repository is MIT-licensed.

Getting started

Before you start: Prices refresh hourly, so this is not an execution-price feed.

  1. Search the public event API or website.
  2. Open the relevant event and market record.
  3. Inspect resolution source, grade and catalyst dates.
  4. Follow the linked venue question if comparing markets.
  5. For an agent, connect the documented HTTP MCP endpoint.

What to check

  • Prices refresh hourly, so this is not an execution-price feed.
  • An RCG measures clarity of resolution terms rather than the probability of an outcome.
  • Events remain single-venue bundles; question IDs provide the cross-venue relationship.
  • For Polymarket MCP lookups, use the condition ID where URL resolution is unsupported.
  • Reference specimens may use an older combined-event schema than the live API.

Our take on ClearMarket

Open read-only access and explicit resolution-quality grades make the research easy to inspect. Hourly prices and schema differences limit its suitability for execution-sensitive applications.
